The results of this test are used to make a claim of substantive persistence of bactericidal/bacteristatic activity.  Our Agar patch study is just one of our antimicrobial testing services. This is a very desirable attribute for an antimicrobial product intended for use by healthcare personnel and by the general public.  BioScience Laboratories performs Agar Patch testing per ASTM E1882 using the forearms of human subjects as the sites of product application.  The difference in bacterial populations between the control plate exposed to untreated skin and a test plate exposed to treated skin constitutes the result of testing.
